Prepare for T5Suite 2.0 !
T7Suite now has FULL realtime information and logging! (1.7.0)
Introduction
T5Suite, T7Suite and T8Suite are software suites that enable you to edit the paramaters (maps) inside the Trionic engine management system.
If you're just starting out or about to start at this point, please do read the provided manuals first!
T5Suite details (1.8.2)
T5Suite is a .NET application for tuning Trionic 5 ECU firmware.
The Trionic 5 is an engine management system developed by SAAB for models 900, 9000 and 9-3 between makeyears 1994 and 1999.
To be able to alter the settings (so called maps) in the ECU some tools are needed. T5Suite gives the user the possibility to alter every single parameter inside the engine management system.
T5Suite is 100% freeware. Many people helped in putting this software together.
To be able to make T5Suite even better we welcome every addition with open arms. We’re always looking for:
Documentation on the Trionic engine management system T5.
Binary files with or without description for T5.
.NET components that can help us improve T5Suite.
Help in finding or creating one of the above.

T7Suite details (1.7.0)
T7Suite is an application for tuning Trionic 7 ECU firmware.
The Trionic 7 is an engine management system developed by SAAB for models 9-3 (except sport sedan which has Trionic 8) and 9-5 from makeyear 2000 on.
To be able to alter the settings (so called maps) in the ECU some tools are needed. T7Suite gives the user the possibility to alter every single parameter inside the engine management system.
T7Suite is 100% freeware!!
To be able to make T7Suite even better we welcome every addition with open arms. We’re always looking for:

T8Suite details (1.1.3)
T8Suite is an application for tuning Trionic 8 ECU firmware.
T8Suite is still in development, this first release includes the checksum routines but does not have a means to communicate with the ECU.
We're still looking for more information about the Trionic 8 ECU. Mainly information regarding either BDM, CANbus or OBDII communication is more than welcome. You can use the email link in the menu to get in contact.

T5 CarPC dashboard details (1.2.9)
The car PC software is a .NET dashboard application that let's you monitor realtime information from the ECU on a touchscreen mounted in the car.
The interface technology is the same as in T5Suite so it runs through the CANBus via a CANUSB adapter. To run this application on a carPC you need a screen
-resolution of 800*600 and your binary file renamed to workbin.bin in it's working directory. The software will show these values:
Current speed
Current RPM
Current intake air temperature
Current lambda value [ estimated from narrowband sensor ]
Current manifold pressure
Current injector duty cycle
Current fuel consumption [ estimated ]
Current gear
Current ignition advance
Knock indicator
Current and max power in whp [ estimated ]
Current and max torque in wNm [ estimated ]
Leaving the application is as simple as double clicking the screen (not the controls). Configuration can be done on the configuration file in the installation folder called T5CarDashboard.exe.config.
These options are:
UseMetricSystem [True/False]. Switches from km/h to m/h, from bar to psi etc.
CarWeightInKG
CarFrontSurfaceM2
InjectorRateCCperMin
Drivetrain loss percentage
Speed trim percentage
CarHasAutoTransmission [True/False]. If enabled, the dashboard will never use RPM base speed calculation.
Tapping the injector duty cycle gauge will result in the display of a realtime graph.
Tapping the speed, IAT, AFR, torque, fuel consumption or boost gauge will change display format.

|
The dashboard application has been expanded to show more details boost information. You can monitor PID controller values, boost deviation, regulation values and the duty cycle to the BPC valve.
This screen also shows a realtime graph that lets you monitor all values after doing a run so you can evaluate the parameters range.
|
|
The dashboard application now also has the option to preload boost maps onto the carPC that you can select and download into the ECU (SRAM only).
This way, you can have an unlimited number of presets with a short description. These preset maps can be exported from T5Suite. A small preview of the maps shapes is given in the selection screen.
